Beautiful shot of the steeple.
Each country has its own style of building. The B&W shot shows that difference, your steeple remind me some of Northern Europe (with its cupola). As if it was a drawing.

I love how the B&W makes it stand out against the sky like it does. I think it wouldn't have the same impact in color.
I've got a similar shot scheduled in a few weeks (yes, my MM's are already scheduled through the end of 2008).
The steeple has a lovely shape, ;-)
and a jet trail for good measure
